This Christmas themed issue of the magazine features several inspirational projects to suit all tastes and ability levels.

The main cover-featured project is by Janet Wilson; Celebrate the Festivals of Light, a traditional Christmas card which by changing the centre piece and the colour scheme can also be used for other occasions. To add some glamour to the card it has been finished off with rocaille beads and diamante brads. Janet has also included a suggested adaption that can be used for Hanukkah as well as a detailed gift bag.

Featuring a beautifully decorated sleigh, Sue McGuirk's Designed for Dashing! card has us all wishing for a white Christmas, the runners have been lightly embossed, stippled and then cut out before being mounted onto blue parchment.

If you are looking for a very traditional design, then Judith Maslen's Christmas Postbox is just for you. The main design features a young girl, traced in sepia ink and then coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils, whilst the border has been perforated and then embossed.

This month's info desk by Josie Davidson offers advice on grids, there's also a pattern for you to create Josie's snowflake using your scrap pieces of parchment. The finished snowflake can be used for decorating cards, presents or even hung from one of the points for you to hang off your tree.
