Tea Bag Folding

Tea Bag Folding is based on the age old art of Origami, specifically modular origami.

This craft was started by Tiny van der Plas well known Dutch author of many Origami books. Tiny was pondering what kind of birthday card to make for her sister while enjoying a cup of fruit tea.
Her eye caught the pretty design on the wrapper from the tea bag and she cut it into a square and folded it using her Origami skills. She folded several and then arranged them by sliding one fold into another to produce a medallion/rosette with a kaleidoscopic effect. She then attached the medallion to some card and added some embellishments.

A new craft was born.
